the streets and she said I want you guys to come teach me the JW were
teaching me but I want to learn what you guys teach because I don’t
really like their church! Claro, we will teach you! Oh I wish everyone
would just come up to us and beg us to teach them! So she is super
positive!! But then we taught this lady the other day that for an hour
told us how wrong we were and that we are going to hell because we
preach false doctrine and she was just yelling and yelling and we kept
trying to leave but she just wanted to keep telling us how we were
wrong about everything and that we should be careful because we are
preaching false things we just bore our testimonies and booked it out
of there!! Oh and lets just talk about how great the internet and
technology is in Zamorano so Saturday night we went to the chapel to
watch conference and after an hour of trying to get it to work we
ended up only listening on the radio the last part of Elder Eyring’s
talk. We did rock paper scissors to see if we were going to listen in
Spanish or English...I lost. But hopefully we can watch conference
this week! I am trying to talk a member into making conference crepes
so we will see if the tradition holds here in Honduras! Oh and we have
a new cocinera (cook) she only has one leg but she is amazing and I think the
only Honduran that doesn’t use 5 pounds of Crisco in every meal!! She
is definitely a keeper and she said she is going to wash our clothes
too! I am horrible at washing my clothes by hand it takes me like 10
minutes every skirt!! Oh and today we celebrated Elder Tapias birthday
so Hermana Guti and I surprised him with a huge 3 leches cake but I
just want you all to imagine me carrying a huge cake first in a
mototaxi then standing in a yellow school bus FULL of people and then
in a van also full of people! It was quite a sight I am sure for all
these people watching this crazy gringa with this HUGE cake but toda
esta bien and the cake was super good so that is all that matters!! Oh
I love, love, love Honduras seriously it feels like home here now
yesterday someone asked me how much time I have left here and I said
"13 meses" and it hurt a little bit to think that I only have a little
bit of time here. Really it is all going way to fast and really the
time here is really sacred I feel so blessed to serve and grow with
these people. Oh and yesterday I gave a talk in church and afterwards
the members were saying that i talked way to fast both in English and
Spanish I cant talk slow when I am nervous. I love you all! And enjoy
listening the real voices of the prophets while I am listening to the
Spanish translators who sound like soap opera stars!
Con mucho amor,
Hermana Oram
